What are you doing to help you get through the day to day stress during Covid-19?
Exercise has definitely helped me over the last few weeks. It has never really been beneficial for maintaining my weight BUT the mental and physical benefits (stamina, strength) are amazing!
Walking is my main form of exercise lately. I heard something recently that struck me. đ¤ âThereâs no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.â More than one country with cold weather claims the phrase originated with them and the word variation changes from place to place but this phrase inspires me to get outside! âď¸ âď¸ When I was a student at Winthrop, much of our class time was spent at Macfeat Early Childhood School. The kids ALWAYS went outside no matter the weather. The key was that they had the appropriate clothing for whatever the weather was on any particular day. I try to remember this when I donât want to go outside on cold days to walk Charlotte...and by cold I mean anything under 65 degrees. đ Iâm still working on this one but am trying to come around since our dog needs to go for walks year round. đ
I also have a newfound love for YouTube exercise videos these days. When you canât leave home or only have 30 minutes, this is a great tool. The video options are literally endless so thereâs something there for everyone.
What are you doing or planning to do for your physical/mental health in the coming days?
